Seattle (Saylac.com)-Since the creation of Somaliland self control government; there is no enough fair to all tribes in Somaliland. Yes – In 1991 the long conference has been held in Borama City. Through the long dialogue, the elders of the Somaliland people discussed the formation of temporary parliament.  From the Awdal elders, everything were discussed sincerely and honest, and that is why Awdal people agreed to have more less representative in the upper house of Somaliland formally known the (Gurti).

The Awdal Elders has been convinced that this new gurti will be a temporary and after everything settled the new fair Gurti will be take place! That empty promise never adopted instead the poor Awdal people has been dominated by the main Isac tribe in the Somaliland upper house representatives. There are representatives in Somaliland Upper House only 12 of them are from the Awdal Region and all the others are from the Isaac tribe.

Some politician in Somaliland argue that the most obstacle that Somaliland did not get any foreigner recognition is that   unfairness in the power and Somaliland society must aware that. The translation of democratic system is fair away from Somaliland power sharing system said on of the Somaliland well-known politician in Seattle.

Awdal experts discussed this matter during the Awdal community conference in Minneapolis last month formally known (Tol Conference). In the conference one of the Somali leading political experts called this unfairness the shame of blackmailing the democratic system. Other said it could be fixed if the country needs to be recognized.

This issue also caused that Awdal voice could not be heard in the Somaliland decision making process because the main media is controlled by the main tribe of Isaac. One of the examples of this is that when four were slaughters in the Borama near town of Dilla nobody is took this serious despite the awdal uproar of bringing those killers into the justice. And until know those killers are free in the Somaliland cities.

Something must be changed in Somaliland (the power sharing in the upper house and government system) otherwise the recognition of Somaliland government is fur beyond the reality.
