Chief U.S. District Judge Michael Davis revoked the release of 26-year-old Kamal Hassan on Friday. Hassan was one of about 20 men who authorities believe left Minnesota to join the terror group al-Shabab in Somalia. He has pleaded guilty to three counts, including providing material support to a foreign terrorist organization. Davis ruled in September that Hassan could be released with conditions — including that no one in the house access the Internet. The judge says someone tried to access the Internet twice Friday, and the family gave inconsistent information about what happened. Hassan's attorney did not return a message seeking comment. |
